Belgrade Bohemian Quarter is located in the very heart of the city centre starting just below Republic Square and stretching along the most famous street in Belgrade, Skadarska Street. Less than 400 m long, Skadarlija Street is renowned for its traditional 19th century charm preserved in old-style Belgrade taverns and restaurants, art galleries, antique and souvenir shops which attract an incredible number of visitors. A stroll down this unique and lively curving cobbled street will take you back to the time when this bohemian quarter was a meeting point of prominent Serbian and Yugoslav artists, poets and writers.
